Mani Bootcamp’s goal is to help us non-professionals become bona fide pros after the first week and move our way up to more advanced skills in weeks two and three. Week one is basically manicuring 101, introducing the basics and practicing the “art of painting.” Week two will introduce nail accents, teaching us how to do ombré and apply sticker adornments without destroying the polish underneath. Finally, in week three, we’ll be ready to nail advanced-level designs like French manicures and half-moons. Check out the entire schedule here.

The biggest lift for me was the filing. I’d recommend investing in an electric nail file to help with shaping. And you’ll probably need it for removal too. This process was made to last and you can definitely tell when you’re doing it.

If long nail extensions aren't your thing, the polygel nail technique can also be adapted on shorter, natural nails, says Metta – just like gel polish. "Polygel can be used as a natural nail overlay to give nails a stronger coating, which then protects them."

Since May used professional gel nail products, you won't be able to get your hands on the exact tools she used without being qualified. That means, if you want to have fun and try re-creating the look using regular polishes at home, then go right ahead; but if you want a set that looks as perfect as May's, "you'll just have to count down the days you can see your nail tech again," she said. If you are a professional tech looking to re-create this design, then you're in luck because May is holding an online course covering this design, which is available to book from mid-February.
From colour palettes to wallpapers, materials, lighting to mirrors and fixtures—powder rooms are a go-to space for taking design risks. The following tips will help you give this little space a big personality.
When it comes to fake nails, the damage is really done by incorrectly removing them or having someone who does not know what they are doing apply the nails. Both dip nails and gel have certain pros and cons, but the most significant difference is the curing process. Gel uses a UV light to harden, while dip nails harden during a chemical process thanks to the combination of the base coat, powder or polish, and the activator. Both are long-lasting, require a similar removal process, and look great, so the choice is down to personal preference.

The circular window is an indication of the round elements within the powder room: an elliptical layout with curved doors and a ceiling light in an oval ring. If you’re looking for a fun conversation-starting powder room, this particular one is sure to inspire you.
Casimir was extremely outgoing and was always willing to help others in need and volunteered throughout his life. He loved to garden, fish, cook and make a joke whenever the opportunity arose. He loved to travel, his most recent trip being to Paris, France. He traveled extensively through Western and Eastern Europe, Scandinavia, the Caribbean, Central America and visited places such as Russia, Turkey and Lebanon.
French manicures are a classic and elegant look. Create this design with ease, using a pale pink and a white powder. Once you have your nail prepped, coat the entire bed with the base coat. Start with the pink base color by dipping the whole nail into the pink. Repeat this process twice until you’ve got a good color build-up, and then finish as usual. Once the pink layer is done, dip just the tip into your white power. You can change the shape of the smile line by adjusting the angle of your finger as you dip. Going vertically into the powder will give you a straight, horizontal line. Alternatively, change to about a 45-degree angle to get a beautiful rounded smile line. When you’ve got the french tips looking as you desire, apply the activating liquid and a top coat. It is an excellent style for work, casual wear, or even a wedding when you want to look beautiful, but natural.
Glitter nail polish can be a little bit trickier to apply because you're dealing with the little flecks. And if you're trying to do nail art, even the simplest design can have some challenges because you want to get the pieces just so. Follow these tips for flawless application (or something like it):
